Halloween Faces

Published July 20, 2012

Sometimes the easiest ideas are the best.

At a Halloween party last year, I saw this idea and thought it would be a great one to share with readers.

Simple and fast to assemble, these spooky balloons will add a ghostly glow to your yard or home on All Hallow’s eve.

For maximum effect, remember to add the glow sticks just before your guests are expected to arrive.

Materials

  • Packages of white, round balloons (available at Dollar Stores)
  • Packages of glow sticks (available at Dollar Stores)
  • Black felt pen
  • Scotch tape or small finishing nails

Remove the glow sticks from their packages and follow directions to start the glow!

Blow up your balloon 3/4 of the way and then insert the glow stick inside. Tie off the balloon.

Draw a ghostly face on the largest section of the balloon.

Attach the balloons to the tree branches outside or inside your home. Dim the lights and see the glow!

*Did you know?

To lengthen the life of your pumpkin and stop decay, simple wash the outside and inside with 1 cup of bleach to 1 gallon cold water. Your pumpkin will last 4 times as long!

Happy Halloween!
