Display your cake on a pretty pedestal.

This is a very easy and delicous version of an old tradition….Strawberry Shortcake…enjoy!

 

2 eggs                                        1 tbsp Butter (*heated in Milk)

1 cup sugar                              1 tsp. Baking Powder

1 tsp. vanilla                           1 cup flour

1/2 cup milk (heated)          1/2 tsp salt

whip cream

fresh strawberries

 

Directions:

 

Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until thick. Add milk, butter, flour, baking powder and salt. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. ( 2- 9″ pans)

Whip cream and put a light layer in between cake layers then add sliced strawberries. Follow with a thick layer of whip cream, then cake…Finish with a layer

of whip cream and add strawberries.
