marshmallow popsWhat kid doesn’t love marshmallows!  This is an inexpensive, simple and quick treat you can put together in about 45 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • Lollipop sticks [4 in/10 cm]
  • Wilton’s White/Vanilla Candy Melts [12 oz/340 g]
  • Or plain white chocolate will do
  • Marshmallows [400 g original large size]
  • Red sugar sprinkles

Required:

  • Ribbon
  • Clear Lollipop Bags

With a sharp knife poke the centre of the marshmallow then insert the lollipop stick.  Place on a tray and put in the freezer for about 15 minutes.  While the marshmallows are in the freezer, melt the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl for one minute, stir then another minute until melted.  Stir until the candy melts are smooth.  Remove marshmallows from the freezer, dip each in the melted candy tapping the excess off and immediately sprinkle with coloured sugar.  Put them on a tray in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.  Once the candy has hardened place the marshmallow in a clean cellophane lollipop bag and tie it up with a decorative piece of ribbon.
